5 basic Black Hat steps to avoid

Hidden content

The first thing that ought to be highlighted on our list is hidden text. It's basicaly a content full of stuffed keywords. Marketers can try to hide the content in many ways (in comments, main body, etc.). it happens that developers also hide keywords within CSS by using very small ar invisible text on the background.

Hidden text practice were very popular about 10 years ago and were giving very good results. However, nowadays, it's not recommended to use hidden text in any way as you can get banned and your website is very likely to disappear from serp.

Meta Keyword Stuffing

There are two Meta tags that are used to let search engines know about page content. They are placed between the <head> tag and if within this tag there are too many similar or repeated keywords, you may be considered a spammer and for sure will not improve your page ranking.

Gateway Pages

We can describe getaway pages as fake pages that stuffed with content and optimized for only 1 or 2 keywords that link to target or landing pages. Website visitors do not have access to that site as they are redirected directly to the target page. Search engine crawlers are constantly being developed to detect these sort of pages. So what you can achieve by using these sort of website is a ban! So do not use them as you will not make your business higher in SERP.

Farms of Links

Do not create nor leave a link to your website in link farming websites. All they can do is to harm your service as sooner or later Search Engines like Google will find out about your dirty SEO practices. “Farms” will not give you much traffic (if any at all) and you will be at risk of getting you site banned for developing Black SEO practices.
